You give me a lot to think about. I agree with the general principle, and I do agree that immoral fiction can be so much more interesting than bland moral fiction. I will say this: I do think fiction is a way to understand reality, but that doesn't mean I think fiction should necessarily have a moral component.
I completely agree! I think it's a valid artistic choice to use moral components, but the common belief that authors must use them, and if we don't we're failing the cause du jour, is stifling, frustrating and often actively dangerous
