Father Gascoigne's theme sounds so similar in some very small parts to the Mordor or Sauron theme, to me. Or so I thought, but when I listened to the latter, I kept poking around, including listening to the Balrog theme because I was trying to find a specific, tense track, and it's actually more like the Ringwraith's theme although the Mordor & Sauron's theme does also have some of the same elements. The Balrog one, not so much. Anyway, it's enough like the Ringwraith's theme that every time I hear Father Gascoigne's theme some part of my brain is like "ah fuck we are in Middle Earth and something is going to get me."

I should add I know nothing about music so I don't know what this thing is called, if anything, that I'm hearing that sounds similar, nor what instruments it is, if they're the same. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

in reply to @maleviolent's post:

a friend informed me that Bloodborne's soundtrack is apparently inspired by the movie Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) and i found this interview talking about it but i haven't read all of it (woe, limited time upon meself,) so!!!! maybe not lotr outright but it is STILL SO SIMILAR and it was very reassuring that you also thought so because i was starting to doubt myself hskfjlsdf

Iโ€™m gonna read this when I have a free minute today, thank you! Havenโ€™t seen that one in a while. And re: your other comment, never a problem to reply laterโ€” feel free to do so whenever you feel like it or not at all, I donโ€™t take it personally :)
