Boring post about web browser usage. π
I've been slowly but steadily using Firefox instead of Chrome over the course of probably 2 weeks now? literally thanks to cohost tecchie people informing us tech plebs (/lh) that Google is destroying the way the Web is written and so on. Have our history and bookmarks moved over but don't know how to transfer tab session history since the extensions aren't the same... maybe it'll just have to stay there on the Chrome extension data and we'll move it all manually or maybe there's a way to export/import it... hmrgh.
We used Firefox a lot as a teenager so it's not, like, new, and it's also whatever. I think we started using Chrome only because there was an extension (X-Kit) that fixed Tumblr at whatever time it was and made it actually usable. I think we really needed a blacklist at that time and now Tumblr does have a in-built blacklist system but it only took them like over a decade probably to get there. And also to thoroughly fuck over Missing E because it was just SO EMBARRASSING that users would make a site more accessible.
Anyway Firefox has cohost by default in dark mode (dashboard's bg color, not posts' bg color) which is uhhhh different so now it's time to fool around with userscripts I suppose? The really strong contrast between white post bg + black dash bg is not delightful on my photosensitive eyes.
