I wonder what would happen to 20-year-olds and actual teenagers if someone told them they weren't allowed to like things ironically, they could only like things with their entire chest and deep, complete passion and feeling. they'd probably be like "but... but I do like it, can't I just like it?"
I'm talking about "puriteen" stuff, to be clear, and how a lot of younger people go about being a fan of media they deem morally questionable 🙄 I think being caught in the position of saying "but I DO like it" would be interesting and maybe bring forth a more genuine approach instead of being constantly defensive, but who knows
