Distribution of paid works in sites that aren't Patreon/SubscribeStar, such as Itch, is more profitable in my opinion, due to the one-time nature of the purchase. The current state of Patreon is mediocre at best.

I am well aware. But I can't afford to jump ship as Patreon has been my primary source of income for 7 years, and what I use to pay bills. The best thing I can do right now is leave open other options. Comics are primarily distributed on Itch, which Ive had for just as long. Patreon/Substar are for people who wish to support me in the long term, and until other options come up, it's all I have

I'd like to remind you that Patreon is currently blocked in Russian Federation, my home country, for being against my country's armed forces and supporting the latter's foes, which is actually a very bad idea. Here's the lesson: don't spread information directed against other authorities, especially the armed forces. It will cause some serious problems.
Aside from that, Patreon has deleted "Goals" feature.
