Here is registered as a for-profit LLC, despite advertising themsleves as not-for-profit (and sometimes non-profit), they don't meet the requirements for either legal entity. Which by the way, is a low bar.

Here's quickly burning cash, which consists of a huge loan from a friend that they've been surviving on for three years. Despite this, the four employees are giving themselves raises (87k/ year to 94k/ year each). They also haven't found a way to monetize anything or earn back any of the money.

Here also has trouble moderating the platform nor have solidified their community guidelines. Here's heads have also been reluctant for banning NSFW drawings of minors.
The problem isn't simply the fact they didn't ban it, but rather didn't make a statement on their view, as there are some who use art similar to it as a coping mechanism (babyfurs/age regessors). But obviously, it opens a can of worms if you don't ban it also. -
They cannot open source the platform, that was part of the loan's collateral. If this goes down or you make a carbon copy, you (legally) have to talk to the lender.
Don't get me wrong, i appreciate a place free from algorithms and with customizable CSS. I don't think the heads are unforgivable or this place is doomed to suck. Plus, i am on places that are capitalist and are moderated poorly, so i'm not saying this place must be ditched.
But i am demanding everyone know this place is capitalist, and always has been.
