
this was from a bulk listing on ebay and the thing I find most fascinating is comparing the differently styled burger buns and patties- I'd have thought these were all essentially the same if not for seeing them side-by-side like this!
yeah, it really reemphasizes the human touch on what we might otherwise consider soulless mass produced objects. different people made different decisions about how to stylize the texture of a burger patty in the medium of injection molded plastic.
Yeah, I've actually always been fascinated by the idea that these infinitely reproducible objects all had a clay original that some anonymous artist scraped together.
I think I got a tiny set of this stuff as a kid, but the real twist is that it came with a mini bottle of actual 'Viandox' (the French Bovril apparently?) so could you wash down that yummy plastic with undiluted meat extract and have a flashforward to the year 3000.
OK this is actually incredible, that seems like such a disaster idea.
