im getting the name wrong but
in some d20 games, at the super high levels, there's an ability many of them have for their fighters.
I know pathfinder 2e has it.
I'm gonna LUMEN-ify it.
Assumptions
8x8 board space for combat.
Avg. movement is ~3
Avg. Damage is 3.
Ranged things go from 2-6
Movement and Range is orthogonal. To hit a diagonal, need Range 2.
Rend Space
Range: 6
Effect
Strike with such power, with such grace, that you destroy the space between you and your target.
Strike a target.
Afterwards, the space you destroyed fills.
Choose:
You move adjacent to them.
They move adjacent to you.
This is a level 20 ability.
in dnd5e most popular fuckin' damned game, literally 1% of players reach level 20.
and that 1%, according to dndbeyond's stats, and this is my shitass analysis might just be them MAKING a level 20 asshole just to see it, realize gamesux at that level, then never do it again.
this is just me saying you'll be able to just find Rend Space in Obscuras, the next thing i'm making.
