a peeve of mine in early LUMEN was how low the numbers were.
like dealing 1 harm is like
bleh.
one of those things that you need like, the full context of "oh you see most enemies range from 1-2-3 HP so even tho it's 1 harm, that's still a lot!"
but its still doing like, the joke amount of damage.
metal slimes take 1 damage, its their deal, not like the fucked up fire elemental or the enemy robot.
Therefore:
If you really wanna keep calculations low, name damage something else.
Break! is doin' Hearts. You do a whole Heart of damage. Hell yeah.
World of Darkness gets a couple things right, and you have the whole Bashing, Lethal, and Aggravating split damage types, and how one can become the other.
it all works out in the end if like, you kill shit in 1-2-3~ hits for normal goobers and 10~ for bosses.
[assuming a 4 man, adjust accordingly to what a "hit" is]
