GMless game that's mystery dungeon styled.

One aspect is that players construct the pool of enemies. Everyone.

There's a pool of monster parts/tags/whatever, and players staple them together, form some peeps, then throw them into the random pool per level of the current Dungeon.


I like giving my GM tactical advice if they're up for it, because then they'll use it against me and it's GREAT!

Genuinely love telling the GM shit like "hey pyros and assaults go really well together" in lancer or whatever because I still need to like, play well against it.

and it's fun to make some fucked up monster then having to fight it.


Pestilence Pit

Within Crosslands, there exists pieces of Hell's layers, scattered haphazardly. This came from a punishment chamber in Gluttony, where damned souls were forced to eat rotten and defiled food for eternity.

Now, it's cordoned off by the Ordo Unionis, for recruits to cut their teeth on demonic harvesting.

The demons are ever changing, but there's a number of similarities of their Limbs.

Those who wander these pits will do well to equip themselves with Antidote, for many of the pit fiends inflict Poison.

The demons of this pit have two body types.

Assumptions

  • When a demon acts, they pick 2 sets of limbs to activate.
  • All demons have a Core, a heart-like organ within their chest cavity. It requires destruction of their Body before it can be targeted. It has 1 HP, and once destroyed, the Demon perishes.

Putrid Claw (Manipulator)
A vile claw, caked in fuzzy and vibrantly pearlescent mold.
HP: 2
Range: 1
Effect
Swipe to deal 1 damage, and inflict Poison.

Engorged Fist (Manipulator)
Its disproportional corpulence hides its powerful muscles.
Range: 1
HP: 6
Effect
Strike to deal 2 damage, and launch the target 3 spaces.

Biter (Manipulator)
A prehensile and extending limb with a set of jaws on the end.
HP: 2
Effect
Lash out and bite a target at range 6 for 1 damage, then restore 2 health to Body.

Gunk Jets (Locomotion)
Vents on limbs spew a putrid discharge for sudden acceleration.
HP: 2
Effect
Move 2 spaces in a straight line.

Gaunt Gallopers (Locomotion)
Near skeletal limbs clatter and skitter.
HP: 2
Effect
Move 1 space in any direction.

Gourmand's Grin (Head)
Lipless jaws with a mouth of long incisors rest on a thick neck
HP: 4
Effect
Chomp and deal 3 damage, and heal restore 6 health to the body

Pestilent Proboscis (Head)
A chitinous and flexible tube between a pair of compound eyes*
HP: 4
Effect
Spew and deal 2 damage and soften the target, causing it to take double damage the next time it takes damage.

Skeletal Frame (Body)
Sullen skin display every horrible, demonic bone
HP: 8
Effect
Avoid the next attack, taking no damage.

Fungal Frame (Body)
Mossy skin and an abdomen swollen with spores
HP: 6
Effect
When destroyed, deal 4 damage to everything in range 1.
