been following some axioms that, from studying games that feel like you get "in there" quickly, seem good to follow:
From Turn 1, you should be able to engage with the enemy.
Like, right after deployment, maybe your Artillery can ping someone, or your Warrior can get in there and tie up some peeps if they choose like, the frontline.
Always have shitbird alley.
That being, the flankpath. Where you send in the shitbird squad. Your small, sustainy, single target peeps to perform the real fight that matters: Protecting your backline.
There's a lot more to think about but those two in particular makes for a decent enough setup.
