YOU ARE an Admiral, a navy hivemind fighting against aliens.

YOU MUST cycle through your scanners to ascertain the threat ahead, before deploying against them.

A d100 table of "What do the scanners see?"
just 6 normal options in a mostly 1/6 distro. "Nothing. The Enemy. Something weird. Something sunken. Something remembered (world's a recent, about to be apoc and it started with mass flooding). Something wrong."

Then. at 00

"Into the mind? Down into the heart? Does it see into you. all of you? Clearly or darkly? You hope it sees clearly because you can no longer look into yourselves." with instructions to throw the players into a social scene about a deep introspection, reliving memories before you all merged.

mil scifi needs more hallucination scenes and surreal horror.

This is fun! I wonder about something that might make that Big Moment it sounds like you want to get to more inevitable? Thinking like the dice mechanic in Betrayal or the game-ending card in The Quiet Year.

It even kinda vibes with the Global Game Jam theme… Jan 30–Feb 5!
