saw a post about "god forbid i ever have to switch back from libreoffice to ms office" and, while ms office is trash and a half, you could not pay me enough to switch to over to libre office again. Had a job that made us use that. complained until they let me use gdocs.

Like for a spreadsheet app and a word processor, enshittification of their core product aside, google docs feels like the best one to use. libre office feels like running software from 1997. hell, i'd probably prefer clarisworks or lotus to libreoffice and I haven't used those since 1995 and 2013*, respectively

The only real reason for sticking with ms office is powerpoint and that's not for its strength as a slideshow maker, it's for its strength as a light-on-requisite-overhead print layout tool. even their like, "desktop publishing" apps are shit compared to powerpoint for this purpose.

but libreoffice? toolbar hedge maze hell. As the joke about FOSS goes, it's gimp.

*during my brief stint doing data entry for BofA deez nutz; did you know lotus has email and wordprocessing integrated? it kinda makes sense but it's still very strange to use
