what?!? no of course not! i’m totally the manliest man that ever manned! totally. super duper.
yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh MAYBE it’s pretty trans
when i first wore a lipstick that transferred, i texted my gf excitedly to tell her what would happen if we could kiss in-person >:3
Congrats on the euphoria! 10/10 moment.
Quick infodump on lipsticks because nobody told me this stuff.
Transfer proof that actually doesn't transfer tends to dry your lips out like mad. Beauty Bakerie has some great shades that work on all skin colors but, like most transfer-proofs, it has waxes and clays in it and that sucks moisture out of your lips. Not every-day wear.
The cream stuff does need touched up more (the cute little mirror is a thing. I have one in my bag and love pulling it out, feels classic) but it's way less hard on your skin. I know Neutrogena has a very cool brand with hyaluronic acid that actually moisturizes your lips, and I very much suggest it (I have forgotten the name and am currently in cat jail).
I figured these things out late and really screwed up my lips with transfer proof too often. If you do transfer-proof, try a sugar scrub after to get the last of it off and a moisturizing lip balm for overnight, it helps.
thank you so much for the information! sounds like i gotta step up my lip game for sure :3!!!
i… also now am seeing that while my mom recommended this product as “transfer-proof” it in point of fact does not say that anywhere i can see. whoops! (Nyx soft matte lip cream)
Some of the creams are better than others for staying on your lips. They still transfer but don't leave obvious lipstick gaps on your lips. That might be what she meant?
And thank you for taking my info dump with grace, that is a long comment, I'm realizing. But nobody ever told me this stuff straight out, and it took so long of me feeling dumb and not understanding when I was trying so hard to get a 'look' right, you know? So now my immediate response is "here is what I know" 😅
