someone i have met twice (one meeting and once in passing) started the process of getting my Outlook address changed to reflect the name josie and not [deadname] without my even complaining about it, after i had resigned myself to just deal with it to avoid making waves. turns out all the company talk about inclusivity was not at all bullshit! like her explicit stated reason was to be respectful of me and just 
like, holy hell this is refreshing… my last real job explicitly forbade me transition under penalty of losing my job! i have got nurses asking me for makeup tips and cleaning ladies applauding my (admittedly glorious) hair now!
plus the bennies include all sorts of gender care very explicitly, and i’m paying a pittance for kickass health insurance to boot after relying on Medicaid for years. (i would of course prefer a state-sponsored healthcare setup but if i have to pay, it’s nice to pay less for more.)
i came in skeptical but shit is just really winning me over. i could see myself moving around internally and really having a career here, which is… unexpected and terribly welcome.
