I only can think of one female-led french comic off the top of my head and it isn't one i followed as a kid (Yoko Tsuno)...
wow, did it really take me til my 30s to realize none of the comics i read as a kid had strong female leads..... or even female leads at all?
oh yeah its certainly more of a thing with more recently made comics ive read!!
