As in Hidetaka Miyazaki wasn't always all that or as in Fromsoft did fantastic games before Miyazaki?
more that like, a lot of things that people specifically attribute to Miyazaki have their roots in older Fromsoft games that he didn't work on or had a marginal role on. Which is not to say that he hasn't been a great director!! Just that its definitely more of a team effort than tends to be credited
