i want you to provide the basic service you were meant for: streaming pirated media to devices with small storage or inaccessible file systems.
I was recounting to a friend how the Playstation 4 streaming app interface used to list the most-used apps on the top row initially, and how that evolved to include recommended apps on the same row, and then the recommendations got moved so that your video apps were pushed to the end of the list, and eventually, they put your installed video apps on their own separate row under recommendations, and under all the ads for streaming shows.
Now Roku has its own live TV option, and has begun adding its own row of recommended content from that. Last week, it consisted of a single "Continue watching" button (listing an episode of The PJs that was in the Roku channel since I searched for it months ago), but the other night that graduated to a full on bar of recommended apps and live TV channels.
Tonight, that evolved again, as I turned on my Roku to find it was now automatically selecting those recommended live TV channels as my home screen default instead of the streaming apps I actually use. Over the course of about two weeks this has gone from being almost invisible and easily ignored to growing more and more and more overbearing.
