i should watch more doctor who... no, not the new doctor who, altho im not against that either, i've never watched any of the old doctor who except some low-quality first doctor stuff which did not hold up well. i have no touchstone with that Who!

I've been doing that a bit. The old show is much slower than the modern show, so it's a nice thing to have on in the background. Spearhead From Space, the first Third Doctor story and therefore the first in color, is a nice starting point. It's like Columbo with murderous mannequins.
