what's worse: israel using an AI to choose targets for war crimes, or when we all inevitably find out it was just a way for whichever guys who are actually making the decisions to dodge their liability for the war crimes

Classic example of "the system will do what people want it to, no matter how it's built." They made a system to find targets for drone strikes, but what they wanted to do after Oct. 7 was basically what in other times would be called
"saturation bombing." So they twiddled the software and policy dials until it let them do that.
