a cool part of language learning is when u get to the point with some stuff where yr brain process the information in a foreign language before you've had the chance to translate it in yr head. like i have math problems in this app (boo hiss) but my brain is giving me the answer before i consciously remember the equation in english

ppl act like u can only learn a language before the age of twenty but lemme tell u it's a lot easier for me to stick with it now that i have more experience with fucking up and still learning crap

nothing quite cements the idea that 'learning is fucking up over and over again' like realizing the word you've fucked up constantly remembering eventually becomes something that you know more solidly than you could've imagined

unless it's like that one weird kanji that looks just like another one. fuck that kanji
