something that baffles to me is that i have yet to see an ereader that has two screens attached by a hinge. feels like it’d be a natural evolution.

everyone’s so focused on foldable screens and im like, who needs em!

Once upon a time, Microsoft was working on the Courier - a two-screen fold-up device with a stylus for taking notes and reading in. They even revisited it in 2019 and had a leaked prototype photo, but it was ultimately indefinitely delayed "due to covid" and "due to consumers wanting one-screen devices"

I agree with you, though!

It would be neat to have a normal single screen ereader with a way to attach accessories with a data connection. Allow for things like a basic protective cover, a second eink screen, speakers or a keyboard(would be pretty small though).
