all the shit about how you shouldn't pressure ppl to use linux (or delete their facebook/insta/twitter acct, or stop using gmail, or...), is correct, but also, how many levels of abusive user lock-in are you willing to tolerate
i think part of my perspective on this might be informed by viewing it as sort of the struggle against capitalism in miniature-- not that anyone is going to be implementing the glorious anarchist future by switching to linux, but if we can't bring ourselves to break out of these smaller systems, how can we expect to collectively work against the broader system which enables it?
