lately been thinking of amazon as an invasive species, particularly the definition where they aggressively take over in a habitat, choke off the life from other species, and then die themselves once the use of the land that led to their growth changes to be less amenable to them

this isn’t unique to amazon and actually the other species they crowded out were mostly other companies of the same invasive type but eventually nothings going to be able to grow



the concept of a midlife crisis is so funny to me. like someone can do everything in their life exactly how society expects them to, and the moment they veer off a little bit bc they feel like they finally have a safe buffer everyone just makes fun of them for it
