how do you drain an air conditioner and have it actually empty instead of just being full again in like an hour - pissin me off

mines the same way - how do you make it work w/ a bucket, ive been having to lift it up into the shower and let it empty in there
the drain hole is pretty high off the ground so instead of leaving the cap on until it gets full jane had genius idea of cutting a non latex cleaning glove finger off and twisting it onto the drain hole to function as a spout so it empties into the bucket and can thus run way longer since it's a big bucket
