im gonna try it with fomapan 200 next. it's not supposed to work but my understanding is that it can

Yeah some people online say it'll go with a 10 stop exposure compensation and a R72 filter so that's the basic plan

you can! and in fact that's actually a real-world use case for infrared photography. heck you can even buy infrared film that was originally produced for "aerial vegetation surveys"
