I posted a whole big complain on twitter about ecosystem lock-in and how it seems like every big tech company is using that as a sales tactic now and it leads to feeling comfortable but not in control for me at least, which I don’t like…
But overnight my other big thought is: More tech should be durable by design like the Apple Watch ultra is. Why is it an unusual/notable feature to make the screen flat and have the edges surrounded by durable metal so it doesn’t break if you whack it into something.
I want phones to be built like the lumia 1020 again, but that’s another thread (horizontally square edges protect screen at corners, thick but softly shaped body comfortable to hold [goals], screen assembly removable with ONE screw hidden in sim slot and NO glue)
