The factory part vs my arca plate draft vs the crazy bulky grip thing
I literally started this entire project just because it annoys me so much that the factory leg thingy has an EXACTLY 5mm bump that sticks out so they could put a 1/4" 20 screw hole on the side there, meaning they could have just made that bump wider and built a simple arca compatible wedge shape into it without adding any width but they didn't...
Maybe it's weird that I mount pocket lights on tripods or otherwise with arca clamps sometimes? I have a thing I carry around that's just a tiny ball arm with a tiny arca clamp on one end and a super clamp on the other which I use to mount like anything onto anything - camera onto top of a chair as a makeshift tripod, floodlight onto a doorframe to work with... Maybe that's just not how people use these things? Idk?
