which one (or any other specific options I should look at.........)

I have mx anywhere 2 now and I like it but the battery doesn't hold a charge more than a day anymore

MX anywhere 3s would be the most direct replacement to make everything feel the same but be usable again... G502x might be better but more expensive and bigger (I like small)... Signature M650 is similar but would let me use replaceable batteries at the cost of better scrolling and 1 less button

I want to try a ball but not right now, I'll get one eventually

I just got a Zowie EC1 but they have a small and wireless version EC3-CW that you might like. I'm very impressed with it as a mouse and not needing any software to set it up because it just has buttons on the bottom for DPI and stuff

since I've replaced the microswitches on my logi g400 like twice now I was gonna suggest just replacing the batt in your Anywhere 2, but wowww they made that pretty difficult

yeahhhhh I'm not confident I could replace it in a way that would leave it still feeling nice - which is why I've been sorta looking at the options that support a wireless charging mat or just plain old AAs
