The electric provider
- Fucked up and didn't charge me automatically last month
- Counted this as a missed payment
- Literally did not tell me there was a "missed payment" until today
- Is now threatening to shut off electricity
- Because of the "missed payment" is billing me for over $500 which I have to pay asap to not lose power and thus my ability to do my job
Anyway this article about what a sales tax is might help :)
I hate capitalism so fucking much, like, I'm trying to do everything as well as I can, I thought I was very prepared for this, and yet, I've lost like well over half of my savings* since I started this whole process of moving out to get ready for my partner to be able to move in with me...
and shit like this where the incompetence of privatized service providers I have to rely on just suddenly eats my paycheck has me seriously doubting if I'm going to be able to be our sole income for a while when they move here. I thought I was ready but the way this shit just keeps happening has me scared.
Last month with the shit where I dared go to urgent care in the state I was in instead of driving 6 hours while delirious to go to a doctor in my home state so they were going to charge me $1,600 bc my insurance lied about covering it and I wouldn't have even known if I hadn't picked up a scam call. If I hadn't caught that I would have been overdrafted by this
How do we escape from this shit
[*(ok. I'm trying to be reasonable. I did pay for travel to europe during this time, but unfortunately with my super LDR that's a normal expense for me)]
