is there a standard HTTP status code for "go fuck yourself"? asking for a friend who needs to block bytedance's spider from their social media platform because it turns out it's incurring a stupid amount of bandwidth costs

this reminds me of the time I found out that my self-hosted website's "random images dir" had apparently leaked out onto the internet and was being used in thousands of forums for hotlinked signatures and meme images (and "cost" me hundreds of GB of upload a month)

so I turned on an anti-hotlinking redirect to the ubuntu DVD installer

I got a lot of nasty emails with that one ;(
