I-5 is a scourge on seattle's geography but man there's a lot of great views of the city from above and around it
one of my favorite vantage points in the city is the view looking southward from the NE 45th St overpass, and it's only partly because I saw that view every day on the way home from school and work for like a decade

i think it's remarkable that the "express lanes" are the highway except it goes under the city. all highways should go under their cities
it's especially weird outside of downtown where the express lanes are also above-ground but they're a second, lower deck below the main lanes
and also they have exits at different streets because there's not enough room to combine them
standout seattle experience from my brief time there earlier this year: blasting Devo with windows open while traversing the express lanes at 65 mph
