Thinking about how the first version of my personal portfolio site had a hard monochrome look and how I let the student employment office at my university convince me to change it bc they thought I should "at least look like you know how to use a wordpress theme" to be more hireable. idk why that wasn't a more 'radicalizing about the direction of creativity on the web' type moment at the time...
If I do go with this look it's going to have to include some Statement about keeping the web messy and simple and fighting sanitization / appification of everything
