Something that's been a long time in the works and am very happy to finally show, a Jewish emoji set!
Commissioned by @zx@chaos.social on Mastodon, with feedback from folks in the wider Jewish community on the fediverse. This was a very cool project to do 😄.
It’s an arm tefillah, which is a leather box containing small parchment scrolls of verses from the Torah. It has leather straps you wrap around your arm and wear during weekday and Sunday morning prayer. It’s a common practice in Orthodox and Conservative congregations.
Are these files publicly available for others to use?
Yes, but I'm not the one distributing them, the client (@zx@chaos.social on Masto) is.
