- Not sure I need all my chats converged into one thing actually?
At first I was sure I wanted that!
And then I realized that the "app" which converges all my chats is actually just my operating system, and that unifying the UI for chat services which have differing feature sets is confusing
The difference between tapping an icon to get into Beeper, then tapping on the telegram chat with my partner or the discord chat with my friends vs. tapping the telegram app to chat with my partner or the discord app to chat with my friends is very minimal, and despite the coolness of converging the UI:
- It can't send telegram stickers and sends photos in telegram as files
- I can't tell when my friends are on voice in discord
- I am GOING to accidentally send something in the wrong chat because all services look the same when converged into one app
