I think of Dream Camera #69420:
Alternate reality Ricoh-branded post Pentax acquisition Q-mount camera based on the GR Digital IV, but with support for the GX200 or GXR's detachable electronic viewfinder
(maybe with a GR-branded 28mm prime lens for q mount based on the GR digital lens design?)
I never really thought about how all of those things overlapped and could have come together to make something really cool exist that just didn't happen...
- June 2011: Pentax launched the first gen Q
- July 2011: Ricoh bought Pentax
- February 2012: Ricoh launched the last GXR camera unit
Meaning they would still have been producing the GXR's removable viewfinder + supporting the idea of 1/17"-type sensor pro compact cameras in 2013 - June 2013: Pentax launched the Q7 (the one with slightly larger sensor size)
- September 2013: Ricoh launched the GRD IV (the one with [the same?] stabilization and a sensor the same size as the Q7)
imagine
