This was an extremely fun intersection that I somehow hadn't encountered before. I had another composition that I liked a lot, but I had a hell of a time trying to recover the shadows and highlights without getting a tacky aughts HDR kind of effect. (You can see my best effort here)
I should have shot it in IR, TBH, and indeed I had an IR camera on me, but it was too dark to get the best results. I'll just need to go back another day. I would have tried it today, but I'm fucking exhausted.
