I think making it look how it looks in the thing you typed it in should be an option and maybe on by default because come on
I hit enter twice and it still deleted the line break before sorry I stg this part of The Experience is bad
you need to free the - by putting a \ in front of it because computers are bad
Yeah that sounds kinda shit, I shouldn't have to remember to type extra things to make the text look the way it already looked
You can use the preview feature to see how it'll look before you post it. But yeah markdown doesn't handle line breaks in a satisfying way and I know that @aidan is aware of this and working on solutions. In the meantime they gave me putting two spaces after a line as a workaround
I don’t even necessarily think they need to change this bc it’s a key part of what makes this site work differently from everything else… I just don’t personally like it and I keep running into it when I’m in a complaining loudly mood
