Hey coposters, tomorrow’s the big day! Get your private cohost use in now before everyone else gets here! We wanted to go over our launch plans and how y’all can help.

We’ll be posting to our official twitter and the ASSC twitter at around 10am PDT (1pm EDT, so jae has to just sit and vibrate until after lunch). Once those posts are up, we’d love if y’all would post about cohost on your personal accounts. Please refrain from posting publicly until you see one of those posts!

One thing we know is going to be an issue is discoverability. We haven’t shipped search yet1 so we’ll be linking our personal pages on our twitter, as well as making posts on our cohost pages with small lists of Coposters We Like for people to look at to follow!2

Obviously, if you want people to follow you on cohost, you should post a link to your page when you’re talking about cohost, but you should also make a list of coposters you like! If you want! It’s optional!

One other thing we’ll be doing, that y’all should get in on, is writing little self-introductory posts, in the way you would on a forum. If you do, tag yours with “#welcome to cohost” so people can find it! It’ll be fun!

Also, everyone should now have 10 Invites they can use! Check your settings page! As with everything else, please wait until after we’ve posted on twitter before you send these! All new users will register without an invite code by default (we’ll be activating new users in groups), so send a code to anyone you want to see posting sooner!

That’s all for now! Sorry for all the exclamation marks, we’re very excited and very stressed and don’t have a lot ways to get that out! aaaaaaaa!

thanks for using cohost :eggbug:

  1. search is going to be the first New Feature after launch stabilizes
