I thought it was cool when I thought it was lots of different focal lengths and assumed some of the image sensors were large or at least large-ish
But it turns out there's only 3 native focal lengths used, and the image sensors are actually super tiny

I think it would be a lot cooler if it was like this but one M43 sensor, one 1" type one, and one 1/3" type one, all with 18mm lenses, so you get about 35, 50, and 150mm focal lengths with maybe better quality in a compact body.

taking a bunch of pictures from nearly the same angle with the same camera system and averaging them is a good way of reducing noise and improving quality, but it can't make up for tiny tiny image sensors and lenses, and that isn't even really what they were doing. Every time I do that in photoshop it does feel like cheating physics a little, and a system with multiple identical camera systems doing that in real time would feel so cheaty. But that's not what they were doing
