We’re over $300 in the red thanks to state taxes that auto-paid out of my partner’s account this week, and I don’t know what to do. My mom has already given/spent like $800 on us this month, we owe my aunt $225 from bills earlier this year. And we haven’t even made payments on any of the bills this month other than the internet. Or the $750 or so that my partner owes to traffic court in another county for “driving on a suspended license” that they didn’t know was suspended (the notice was sent somewhere they hadn’t lived in 5 years, and they’d been driving with it suspended for at least a couple years with no clue!). And it’s suspended again thanks to that bullshit, too, til July and likely will get extended if we don’t get the court fees paid before that. It’s awfully hard to get a job without a car!! I’ve been bemoaning not being able to work consistently for months now because if I could just go get a damn job and show up to all my shifts and not call in sick so much that I get fired in under 6 months, maybe we wouldn’t be so fucked right now (but also I would have had a tax bill, too, so maybe not).
