The toilet in my partner’s and my bathroom has not been refilling its tank for months and we’ve gotten nowhere with our property management company so far. I’ve already found the relevant codes for my area and they do specify ALL plumbing working as a basic requirement, so I’ll be having my partner send a similar email later today. I wouldn’t be so annoyed if I wasn’t dealing with OAB at night a lot, and if there wasn’t a whole list of much more minor requests they’ve also made no move to address, like all the toilet seats being on the verge of breaking free from the toilets, and the light in our fridge going out and changing the bulb doing nothing to fix it.

This is actually an area where AI can be helpful. A few months ago, I needed to write a letter like this and asked Bard (now Gemini). It drafted a pretty accurate, well-worded letter with the correct legal laws and jargon. I'm sharing this because drafting the letter and just figuring out which laws to cite can be overwhelming, but AI can be useful in this very specific niche.
