I started using these when I had invisialign and had to floss after every single meal or snack, and they're the only thing that ever got me to consistently floss once a day.
Basically you wrap normal floss around it and it's a big floss pick that you can clean and reuse. The size is actually useful unlike the tiny floss picks, you can hold it like a toothbrush and reach your molars.
After I brush but before I rinse my mouth (apparently the leftover toothpaste is good for flossing / getting more flouride around), then I floss half of my top teeth, rinse the pick, floss the other half, unwind and rewind it to get a different section of floss exposed, then do the same for my bottom teeth (technically they recommend rewinding every few teeth like you're supposed to when using floss directly but I've never had the patience).
Doing this just once a day pre-pandemic virtually eliminated new cavity formation for me and I never got shit at the dentist again. Also once you acclimate to regularly flossing your mouth actually feels nicer throughout the day.
I also use POH Unwaxed floss because it's very narrow and thus is easier to get between my teeth. Especially with the Flossaid waxed floss ends up being more difficult to work with and you don't need the wax with the leverage the pick gives you anyway.
anywho I know tooth stuff is difficult for folks and I wanted to gush about how these things were a gamechanger lol
You just hook one of these bad boys into your shower and then you've got a water flosser on hand whenever you're in the shower. Water flossers are considered very effective tools for tooth care, but in the past stuff like a Waterpik has always been too noisy and unwieldy for me to really make a habit of.
This on the other hand just lets me get my flossing in while I'm already doing something else, no fuss required. Getting one of these has been a huuuuuge help for my own dental care, and you can find them pretty easily for under $30!
(they also make ones for sink faucets if youre more into that kind of thing)
