when I was younger, I kept making the same small mistake over and over again: buying and eating Butterfinger bars. basically, every six months or so, my memory (the lying bastard) would tell me that Butterfingers were really good actually, and it's been so long since I last had one, I should have another!
Then I would actually purchase one, and from the first bite I would remember "oh yeah, these are stickier than fucking glue but also have a really weird pseudo-crispiness to them, and they don't taste good enough to make up for it."
eventually I learned my lesson - but only in that specific case. tragically, though I have grown as a person, I am prone to the same sort of folly.
so yesterday I bought a big box of cornflakes and today I remembered that cornflakes kind of suck.
