Tomorrow (Saturday the 10th) at 2 PM EST (11 AM PST) I am streaming "Colossal Cave Adventure"— yes, that Colossal Cave Adventure, the 1976 text adventure game— in a new VR(!) re-creation by Roberta Williams of Sierra(!!).
By all accounts this is a fascinating port which feels like an ice core of the last 47 years of video games— a VR interface colliding with Williams' fixed-in-1995 adventure game design capabilities colliding with a 47-year-old and apparently completely unchanged game map and script. I am extremely excited about the idea of a cross-era cross-genre mishmash.
