As in my brain CANNOT stop going "look at this amazing faux-retro furry art from Tumblr!". I cannot get it to accept this is actual commercial promotional art from 1966.
Okay, "court mandated furry girlfriend" was not on my 2024 bingo card, but now opening a ticket to for an update.
Swinger didn't mean the same as it does now back then, but neither did furry cartoon characters. So I choose to interpret it by the modern meanings and like it that way.
sometimes. the artist seemed confused by them and sometimes just tossed a human leg on there, or a reverse-joint. they tried, though, and given this is a toy from 1966, they didn't have many others doing the same

the actual doll seems to effectively have normal humanoid legs, which is a further complication.
OK but it seems to IMPLY a humanoid knee, but also IMPLY a doggy ankle immediately below it, except that might be just a very high and well-toned calf muscle? They were really very confused by this bit of fairly basic anatomy, weren't they?
At a certain point I think concessions to "realism" needed to be made just for the practicality of this as a fashion doll. They wouldn't want the legs to be too inhuman just because that would require pants to be sewn in a way to accommodate that shape. It's cheaper to just give her normal legs and not have to worry about that. Plus kids would be able to dress her up in clothes from their other dolls too, which makes it an easier sell for parents that they won't have to buy specialized clothes just for this one doll.
Do I also need to point out how many nipples dogs have? I'll give you a hint - it's the same number as Khajiit. Way more than two.
And the thing is if tumblr furries were going to invent a faux-retro 60s furry fashion idol she'd look exactly like this
