some of you may be aware of this already, but recently, my partner and i had to suddenly move house mid-July due to our previous landlord choosing to want to sell the house we were living in. luckily, we very quickly found a new place afterwards, and so after two weeks of packing everything up, moving it to the new place, and then going on vacation mid-move, i have finally found the time to set up my gear and begin another new chapter of my long-time home recording studio, N.Excelsia Audioworks.
from The Lunar Heaven Sanctuary, to Heaven Beneath the Surface, and now, with a fitting prefix name for the new chapter: New Horizons Sound Garage.
and to welcome this new era of New Horizons Sound Garage: N.Excelsia Audioworks, i jammed and recorded 25 ecstatic minutes of intense rhythmic and non-rhythmic ferocity, pushing my body as far as i could in terms of technical ability and stamina. with some keys and even a little 6-string bass thrown in for good measure.
i'm very happy with how this session turned out, and i'm looking forward to recording many more in the future, alongside all the @NOCTORAN material that i had to put to the side while getting life back together again.
i have more solo material in the works, but have also recently started a band locally that i'm really excited to push further and get into a real routine with, with an extremely talented local guitarist, Emily Bruno, who has joined me in creating more unholy unions of music and sound. i hope to show you all some of what we've been cooking soon.
until then, thank you for listening!
may as well boost this again with Bandcamp Friday making its triumphant return! while i'm here, i may as well also boost some of my previous releases as @NOCTORAN -- my black metal project.
i'm playing a show in Olympia tonight at Le Voyeur as N.Excelsia, as well as a Tacoma show in October. flyer post soon. October 27th is the next Noctoran show in Olympia.
thanks for listening & your support.
