(I have only ever been on Godot's periphery.) I hear Godot uses GLSL (with some slight nonstandard extensions) for shaders. Is this the only option? Is this likely to change anytime soon? Any hopes of a bytecode like SPIRV, or something more modern like WGSL, or an HLSL Unity-compatibility plugin, or in general a capability to plug in your own shader compilation pipeline?
