Everyone on cohost is so much cooler and funnier than the mastodon crowd lol. I love mastodon too but I end up following like, FOSS programmer Linux nerds mostly and it feels kind of suffocating. Cohost has way more variety and like genuinely funny people. Things are generally more lighthearted and less scoldy here and it’s mainly because pretty much everyone is on a similar page to each other, politically speaking. Mastodon is more of a free for all Twitter vibe. Lots of picrews reiterating tumblr posts from 10 years ago. kind of rancid if I’m being honest
