and they're all liars
To be fair, although it's marketing bullshit now, it's a vestigial remnant of an actual change that occurred in the 90s when sunscreens that were both better protection and less greasy feeling than the old kind started showing up. But none of the greasy ones are sold now, so the comparison is meaningless. But the marketing copy lives on, because now that everyone says it, anyone who stopped saying it might be perceived as more greasy just because they didn't.
genuinely informative, thank you. it's been a confusing annoyance since I still experience them all as varying levels of greasy, but I suppose I would consider them less so if I could still accidentally buy or be gifted the greasy ones for comparison
